Reasons why Diablo 2 is like Diablo 3

  • Malero on Aug. 4, 2014, 1:27 p.m.

Diablo 2 is far superior to Diablo 3, in my opinion. But Diablo 3 is still quite a bit of fun. A lot of the wonderful things that made Diablo 2 popular for so long they removed from Diablo 3. There's not really any point in making more than one character. You can change your skills and allocated paragon points at any time. Casual gamers will like that they allow people to respec at any time, but it has drastically reduced the replay value that Diablo 2 had.

The item hunt is still there in Diablo 3, and I've enjoyed farming and crafting quite a bit. There's only so much of that you can do before it gets boring, though. You have a very limited amount of room in your bank and on your character for holding items. This also reduces the possibilities of experimenting with different skill, rune and item combinations. Unlike Diablo 2, gold actually has a purpose in Diablo 3.

Diablo 3 is a lot of fun, but if you were a Diablo 2 fanatic, don't expect to play as long or as much as you did with Diablo 2.
