I see it on the battle.net rankings page on a ton of characters. Is it really that good? Also, why do I seem to see a ton of people that are only ranked in solo play use it?
The reason you see a lot of solo players using it: If you use Unity and put a Unity ring on your follower with the relic that makes it so they cannot die, it basically halves the damage you take. But you also have to remember that you take 50% of the damage that the follower takes. So if the follower is sitting in the middle of an arcane sentry field, you may be instagibbed. You just have to remember this and try to control your followers whereabouts.
It works well in multiplayer if there are a few tanky characters using them as well.
