How do I get the meat for all of the kitchen recipes? Is there a way to hunt?

I can't figure out how to hunt or get the meat that's required to make the steak and other similar recipes in the kitchen. Is there a way to hunt any of the wild animals roaming around? When I click on them, there isn't an option to hunt like there is to cut down a tree or forage berries.

I finally figured it out! All of the work groups have hunting off by default. I've set up my military group to hunt and it's a decent way to feed your colonists early on!
