Insert Money Here is a new Game Walkers weekly column trying to help expose some of the great indie game developers that are trying to raise money. Unless you check Kickstarter, Indiegogo and other similar sites often, it's pretty easy to miss some of these amazing games.
After 5+ hours of surfing and talking with friends about the games they're excited about on Kickstarter and Indiegogo, here is our first 10 Insert Money Here indie games. If you have ideas for next week's article, feel free to email me at malero@gamewalkers.com or send a message through G+, Twitter or Facebook!

Candle is a dynamic graphic adventure. It inherits the spirit of classic cinematic adventures like Out of This World or Flashback, and the gameplay mechanics of classic platformer adventures like Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus, or Heart of Darkness. However, we want it to go one step forward, and so we have brought together all the key features in those games to create a unique title focused on calm puzzle resolution but with a modern and dynamic control over the character.

An open world fantasy RPG with building, farming and crafting. For PC, Mac and Linux.
Now that Nasrus revealed his plot, the kings of Balrum sent their armies to the borders of the unknown lands captured by Nasrus. The power of the undead armies had been greatly underestimated. No one survived the battles. Without the armies of the kings, chaos has overcome Balrum. Large bandit clans formed and started to live by their own rules. Soon the kings of Balrum had fallen. Two little villages stood up against the new bandit rulers and decided that the only way they will survive is if they hide in the Dark Woods. No one dare enter the Dark Woods and this is what the villagers took advantage of. A horrible deal has been made, but the villagers are safe for now. The undead hordes of Nasrus are still waiting at the borders, but they can march into the heart of Balrum anytime their lord commands and there is no one to stop them. The people wonder why the good gods of Balrum, Adacus and Eogor don't seem to be interested in the events that took place.
6. Legend of Iya
- Windows
A metroidvania adventure built of beautiful pixels.
Legend of Iya (it's pronounced Ee-yah), has been my never-ending passion project as long as I can remember. Beginning with early 8-bit computers, and stretching all the way to present day, the game has changed, evolved and improved over the years, from a simple 8-bit run-and-jump to something far more compelling. The game has seen at least half a dozen iterations, each time dying, but being reborn as some kind of a stubborn freaking phoenix.

10. Tangiers
- Windows
- Linux
- Mac
Tangiers is a blend of stealth and exploration for Windows, Mac and Linux built within the Unity engine.
Using the sandbox stealth of Looking Glass Studio's Thief series as the base of Tangiers, we're looking to build a world inspired by, embodying and adapting the alternative avant-garde of the 20th century.
Writers such as Burroughs and Ballard, artists within the Dada movement and the music and textures of Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire and David Lynch all drive us. They are our motivations - often oblique, sometimes in open reference.
